MSR Construction designs, constructs and delivers a modern range of homes under the well-respected Hawke's Bay Homes brand (formerly Cottages NZ).
We have a range of popular designs ranging with options from 1 bedroom to 3 plus bedrooms with open plan living and outdoor decks.
Hawke's Bay Homes has built hundreds and hundreds of homes, holiday houses, classrooms, and commercial offices, which have been delivered to rural, coastal, and urban properties throughout the North Island including navigating some of the trickiest routes along the way.
We take care of everything for you including council building consents, site design, planning, and service installation (water, waste, power) as well as working with one of New Zealand's leading house moving businesses.
Our history
Hawke's Bay Homes started as a small family-owned business that was previously called Cottages NZ Ltd.
John and Rose Roil created the business in 2003, pioneering prefabricated houses and commercial buildings, including small police stations. In 2006 John and Rose won the Westpac Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, along with the Small to Medium business category. In 2005 the business was a finalist in the same category.
Their son Mark, a qualified builder, has since joined the business, after a stint overseas, and has rebranded to Hawke's Bay Homes. Mark has a team of experienced builders as well as many preferred sub-contractors that all work at the facility in the industrial area of Irongate, Hastings.
MSR is a member of Prefab New Zealand and Certified Builders Association of NZ. We adhere to strict guidelines for achieving the highest possible standards in workmanship and business practice.

We're looking for builders and building labourers. Awesome work environment - in a modern indoor building facility. Flexible working hours. We have completed a new purpose-built factory which means there's no downtime and you don't get sunburnt or cold. We are after experienced builders and are open to discussing work options.
