Sales Manager - Business Development

We have an open mind to the background and career experience you might bring to this sales and business development role. Either way you will need real strengths in building relationships that can then translate into building sales pipelines and creating sales success in commercial and residential construction. 

If you relate well to construction or trade-related industries and are known for your excellent people skills, then this will be a great role for you to consider.

HB Homes & Commercial are well known for the construction of their impressive range of architecturally designed transportable buildings. They have built 100s of homes, holiday houses, RSE facilities, classrooms and commercial offices in their purpose-built building facility in Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. Their individual customer focus is evident at every contact point. They provide a seamless process for every client from start to finish, across concept drawings to Council consent applications, and right through to coordination of subcontractors to full completion on site. 

As their Sales Manager – Business Development, you will be driving new business and leading sales for their commercial arm by delivering an increase in sales contracts and securing preferred-supplier status across key commercial organisations. You will implement and execute sales plans to grow their customer base, secure opportunities across a range of sectors including education, government and privately held entities, and support with the tendering process. Your proactive approach will see you building and maintaining strong, strategic relationships which will help elevate the HB Homes & Commercial brand across Hawke’s Bay and beyond. 

This will be well suited to a high energy, organised sales leader who loves getting out and engaging with people. You must be able to develop credibility, trust, authenticity and understanding of a range of environments with key influencers across the various sectors you’ll be working across. Proven experience in B2B sales is essential and familiarity to the construction industry will be highly regarded.
