We take the protection of our intellectual property seriously. This policy explains how materials displayed on our website and in our marketing resources may and may not be used.
Ownership of intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property displayed on or made available through this website is owned by MSR Construction Limited, trading as HB Homes & Commercial, or is used by us with the permission of the relevant rights holder.
Protected materials include, but are not limited to:
- Architectural drawings and floor plans
- Concept plans and preliminary designs
- Building designs, layouts and design details
- Three-dimensional models and architectural renders
- Photographs, videos and other imagery
- Brochures, specifications and downloadable resources
- Website copy, articles and written content
- Graphics, branding, logos and marketing materials
- Social media content
- Custom and bespoke design work
These materials are protected by the Copyright Act 1994 and other applicable New Zealand intellectual property laws.
Viewing and downloading our materials
You may view our website and download publicly available brochures, floor plans and other resources for your own personal evaluation of HB Homes & Commercial’s products and services.
Accessing, viewing or downloading our materials does not transfer ownership or grant you a licence to reproduce, adapt, build from or otherwise use our intellectual property.
Restrictions on use
Unless you have received prior written permission from HB Homes & Commercial, you must not copy, reproduce, adapt, modify, transmit, store, publish, distribute, sell or commercially exploit any material found on this website or in our brochures, plans and other resources.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying or reproducing one of our floor plans
- Building a home or commercial building from one of our plans without engaging HB Homes & Commercial

- Changing dimensions, layouts, elevations or other elements of our designs
- Providing our plans or designs to another builder, architectural designer, draftsperson, consultant or supplier
- Asking another party to recreate or adapt one of our designs
- Using our drawings, renders, photographs, videos or written content for personal or commercial purposes
- Removing or altering a copyright notice, watermark, logo or other ownership information
- Using our branding, business name or logo in a way that suggests an association with, or endorsement by, HB Homes & Commercial
Providing attribution or credit does not replace the need to obtain our written permission.
You may share a link to a publicly available page on our website, provided the link is not misleading and does not imply an endorsement, partnership or association that does not exist.
Custom and bespoke designs
Plans, concepts and designs prepared for a prospective or existing client remain protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, payment for design services, participation in the design process or receipt of a plan does not transfer copyright ownership or give any person the right to provide that design to another builder or designer.
Any permitted use of a custom or bespoke design will be governed by the relevant proposal, design agreement or building contract.
Unauthorised use and enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected copying or unauthorised use of our intellectual property.
Where we believe our intellectual property rights have been infringed, we may require the infringing activity to stop, request the removal or destruction of copied materials and pursue any remedies available to us under New Zealand law.
These remedies may include legal proceedings seeking an injunction, financial compensation, an account of profits, recovery of legal costs or other appropriate relief.
Your acknowledgement
By accessing or downloading a floor plan, design, brochure or other material from this website, you acknowledge that:
- The material is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights
- Ownership remains with HB Homes & Commercial or the identified rights holder
- The material is provided for your personal evaluation only
